Job Title: Administration & Marketing Assistant to the Owner


Shibumi is an expanding boutique brand and the owner needs a fabulous new member of staff to run the office and drive the online sales and marketing. It is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. The ideal candidate will have excellent administration skills, a background in clothing retail, 3 years experience in online sales and a proven track record of successful PR and digital marketing with a passion for design and customer care. We need you to care about our business and the core values that make Shibumi the successful brand it is. Our designs are created, manufactured and posted with genuine love and we care deeply about the quality of customer service we offer. You must be highly efficient, reliable, thorough and flexible, have a real eye for detail, be calm under pressure and be able to adhere to the values and core purpose of the company.

About the role: Working hours: 5 days a week 9.30 – 5.30, With half hour lunch break, Mon – Friday Weekend work when required. Salary: £19,000 - £22,000 per annum (negotiable)

At Shibumi office and showroom in Horsley, Gloucestershire. Shows and events if required.

Job description:You will need to be supremely efficient and reliable. You will be working at the showroom and office in Horsley with the owner Ruth Guise. You will be managing the office, receiving and processing online orders, updating the back office with sales data. You will need to take telephone calls, creating sales, arranging bespoke appointments for visits to the showroom and providing high levels of customer service throughout the sales process – strong attention to detail, a completer finisher ‘can do’ attitude is a must. You will need to be to sell effectively in the showroom and at a events( if required ). You will need to have excellent technical skills and proficient knowledge of using Apple Macs and Microsoft Office. You will be managing our social media channels on Instagram, Facebook,Pinterest and Twitter providing creative written and graphic content. You will need to produce Mailchimp newsletters writing the copy and adapting photographic content for newsletters and the website, so a knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) is essential; excellent creative & content writing skills are a must with a thorough knowledge of the digital platforms.You will need to use timelines & scheduled content to create a consistent stream of new material for audience interaction and then analyse this data. You will be doing the Google Analytics and reporting on the success of the website/social media activity. PR is a desirable.
