We truly believe that the presence of flowers in a pattern can evoke feelings of happiness and grace. And that’s why floral patterns never go out of style.
The word Shibumi, could be translated as 'nature seeking expression' and our floral designs are all about bringing the natural world into fashion.
Nature, is where our designer Ruth Guise draws her inspiration from. Through our floral fabrics and with her heart, she expresses her strong connection to our Mother Nature.
Plants, trees and flowers are at the centre of her creation process and it shows on our beautiful and full of life designs.

Embroidered Silk Fabric
The delicate curves and natural forms of flowers contribute to a gentle and inviting aesthetic of our embroidered silk fabrics. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted, with precise attention to detail, resulting in stunning formations that are a feast for the eyes. The Tree of Life
Tree Of Life is Shibumi's signature pattern. The fabrics are full of life, scattered with flowers and birds. This features on our beautiful cashmere coats and jackets, shawls, dressing gowns and also on our bed throws. This pattern is our tribute to nature and a celebration of it's beauty and symmetry.
The Tree Of Life represents harmony and balance in nature, rebirth and connection of the earthly and the spiritual. Trees are symbols of strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything.

We have two recent additions to our already impressive floral Shibumi fabric collection.
Burlesque - our new fabric in wild orchid, luminous colour with black and blue embroidery for a striking look.
Black Zardozi, dark colour with a refined and delicate floral pattern to balance, creating the most sophisticated fabric.
As with all Shibumi fabrics, you can have any of our styles made; from jackets to coats, trousers and dresses. You can even just buy our fabrics by metre, let your imagination run wild and turn them into anything you like.

Shibumi Garden
Visit us for a private appointment in the summer, when our small garden is transformed into an Arboretum with layers and layers of different types and colours of blossoms and bumble bees hovering around, astounded with the feast they have been presented with.
